María A. Iovino Moscarella has developed a recognized work in Colombian and Latin American art as a teacher, researcher, curator and advisor on cultural projects. In the 2023 edition of Pinta BAphoto, she is participating as curator of Special Project: Sources by Andrés Ramírez Gaviria.

From September 28 to October 1, Pinta BAphoto returns to La Rural, pabellón 8 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. An opportunity to discover the best of contemporary Latin American photography.

Joaquín Sánchez is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been nurtured by the knowledge and skills of indigenous and popular communities in Bolivia and Paraguay, with whom he has been developing collaborative processes for more than two decades. His proposals, although they cover a wide spectrum of languages and discourses, recognize precise axes linked to the history and ancestral culture of the peoples that have long inhabited the territory that both countries disputed almost a century ago, as well as to his own history, in a sort of personal ethnography made of fragments of memory.

A new edition of Pinta BAphoto will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from September 28 to October 1. With a return to La Rural as its main location, the 19th edition will feature the participation of projects that focus on historical photography.

The exhibition Conjeturas. Exploring art today, curated by Rodrigo Alonso, gathers pieces by Andrés Aizicovich, Sergio Avello, Elena Dahn, Iara Freiberg, Mauro Giaconi, Silvia Gurfein, Alicia Herrero, La Chola Poblete, Analía Sabán, Mariela Scafati, Alan Segal, Juan Sorrentino, Amparo Viau and Dolores Zinny & Juan Maidagan.

Materia is the new exhibition at Fundación Larivière by Argentine photographer Juan Travnik, recently awarded the National Lifetime Achievement Award 2022.

From September 28 to October 1, 2023, the 19th edition of Pinta BAphoto will take place at La Rural, Pavilion 8. With EFG Wealth Management as Main Sponsor, BAphoto is the only art fair specialized in photography in Latin America. Museo Moderno de Buenos Aires inaugurated Cultura Colibrí. Art and identity in the Argentine underworld of the 80s and 90s. With Fernando Noy as host artist, the exhibition is a chronicle of the sexual exiles during the last military dictatorship, the democratic recovery and the festive and countercultural experimentation of the 1980s and 1990s.

The exhibition of the multimedia conceptual artist Alexander Apóstol opened at the PROA21 space. Curated by the theorist and historian Cuauhtemoc Medina, it brings together works produced between 2009 and 2018 closely linked to the Venezuelan reality, his country of origin.
